My Eczema-Prone Skin Routine
Share
Dry, itchy, eczema-prone skin is one of the things families ask me about most, from tiny babies through to adults. It can be exhausting, especially when itching keeps everyone up at night. This is the routine I suggest: a little support from the inside, gentle care on the outside, and a few simple changes at home.
My routine
Morning: Aller Ease (10 drops) + Q Detox (10 drops)
Afternoon: Aller Ease (10 drops)
Evening: Q Detox (10 drops)
On the skin: QDerma Cream, 2 to 3 times daily
Itchy nights: Sleepytime at bedtime
Drop amounts are for adults. For children, use 3 to 5 drops. Drops can go straight in the mouth, on a spoon, in a bottle or on food.
Why these four
Aller Ease, morning and afternoon. I use it to support a calmer, more balanced response to everyday triggers. It's the one I reach for with reactive skin as well as hay fever.
Q Detox, morning and evening. It includes Albizzia, Burdock and Yellow Dock, herbs traditionally used to support clear, healthy skin from the inside.
QDerma Cream, 2 to 3 times a day. I created QDerma for the many families I saw struggling with dry, irritated skin. It's gentle enough for newborns. I always suggest a small patch test first.
Sleepytime, at bedtime. For the nights when itching makes it hard to settle, for little ones and grown-ups alike.
My extra tips
- Lukewarm baths rather than hot, and pat skin dry gently.
- Apply QDerma straight after bathing while the skin is still a little damp.
- Soft cotton clothing and bedding, and fragrance-free washing powder, soaps and lotions.
- Keep nails short to reduce damage from scratching.
- Consider a food intolerance test. Food reactions are often part of the picture with skin. I suggest a test from Allergenics, so you can make diet changes based on your own results rather than guesswork.
